Angel Aculey

After over 10 years as a successful event director, Angel decided it was time to act on her longstanding love of beauty and fashion and pursue a career as a makeup artist. Self taught and ready to learn, Angel began working for MAC Cosmetics in London where she worked her way up to pro artist in the flagship store. This role provided her the opportunity to perfect her craft and gain invaluable experience on all skin types.
With hundreds of faces, requests and happy customers under her belt, Angel chose to combine all her learned skills and natural talents, and made the move to become a fully freelance artist. Since becoming freelance, Angel has honed her skills on editorial shoots, TV, beauty and fashion, whilst busy directing her own shoots, organising beauty masterclasses and keeping clients looking and feeling fabulous.
Angel’s inspired instagram posts caught the eye of the legendary Dame Pat McGrath who personally invited her to work backstage at Paris Fashion week for MUI MUI, LOUIS VUITTON, RIHANNA and STELLA MCCARTNEY. Angel continues to work with Pat and her team. Recent work includes the prestigious YSL 2024 campaign by Anthony Vaccarello shot by Juergen Teller and shooting an incredible Maison Margiela editorial with Tim Walker for Perfect magazine. Other notable clients include Naomi Campbell, Pauletta Washington, Vivica A Fox, Ballet Rambert, Beverley Knight, AJ Odudu, Amber Riley and Reggie Yates. As well as regularly working in TV for shows such as The Voice, Britain’s Got Talent, Britain Get Singing, Strictly Come Dancing and Royal Variety Show.
